Dark arts, Part 1, Macbeth
21 January 2022,10:30 am - 11 February 2022,12:30 pm
£260
From its entrancing first scene to the final fulfilment of the witches’ prophecy, Macbeth is one of Shakespeare’s darkest and most powerful tragedies – a compelling story of one man’s ruthless ambition to obtain the crown of Scotland by the foulest means necessary. Macbeth boasts an array of unpleasant ingredients – regicide; war; witchcraft and madness – that jostle in a simmering cauldron packing punches and leaving the palette tingling and bruised. Can you hack the heat? Step into the kitchen and find out.
This is part I of a two-part course on villainy, power and magic. Part II, The Tempest, is sold separately and will run in the Spring; Macbeth signees will be offered right of first refusal.
This class runs over 4 weeks; Fridays (10.30 am – 12.30) via Zoom; £260
