From its entrancing first scene to the final fulfilment of the witches’ prophecy, Macbeth is one of Shakespeare’s darkest and most powerful tragedies – a compelling story of one man’s ruthless ambition to obtain the crown of Scotland by the foulest means necessary. Macbeth boasts an array of unpleasant ingredients – regicide; war; witchcraft and madness – that jostle in a simmering cauldron packing punches and leaving the palette tingling and bruised. Can you hack the heat? Step into the kitchen and find out.

This is Part 1 of a two-part course on power, villainy and magic. Part II, The Tempest, is sold separately and will run in spring; Macbeth signees will have right of first refusal.

This class runs over 4 weeks; Tuesdays  (11 am – 1pm) via Zoom; £260
